Calden and Company Band
Calden and Company Band consist of 4 professional musicians and one professional vocalist, who is Calden Moye. Calden knew it was time to move forward and form her own band. Calden’s song “You Should Have Been In Church instead of cheating on me”, won her a Grammy nomination in the R&B category. Calden performed the song at the Apollo, in Harlem, New York.
She would spend nine years of her adult life in Europe. Calden’s musical inspiration comes from various artists such as Betty Wright, Chaka Khan, Aretha Franklin, Anita Baker, and Whitney Houston. At the age of nine, she began to mimic different artists. The band has been successful in performing for different audiences and creating a following. Audiences are excited and filled with that “wow” factor after seeing Calden and Company Band. Calden has performed with artists like Kim Waters, Roy Ayers, SILK, Crystal Waters, Keith Wonder Boy Johnson, Damon Little, and rap legend Kurtis Blow.
The drummer “Kurt Patterson” has been playing drums with such enthusiasm and passion ever since he was a teenager. He has 50 years of experience as a drummer, playing locally, regional and playing congas and percussions with an African dance company. Kurt plays with lots of inspiration and passion. Watching Kurt play drums is entertaining.
The bass player “Calvin Wilds” started playing bass at the age of 15. Calvin plays with a lot of passion and shows his love for playing bass.
Alan Baisely, the guitarist started playing at the age of 13 and still exciting audiences with his love for the guitar. Alan has recorded, produced albums, and was classically trained in England.
The second guitarist Carlton Savage has been playing since he was a teenager and has recorded with different national jazz artists. Carlton plays guitar with passion and a love for music. You simply can’t turn away when he’s playing a solo in songs.
